|English term or phrase: assumed debt to boost its holdings|
|assumed debt to boost its holdings|
angenomme Schuld, um seine Bestnde zu erhhen?
angenomme Schuld, um seine Fonds zu erhöhen
In this marketing context 'holdings' stand for possessions. Possessions in German are 'Besitze', but in banking terms the better word for 'Besitze' = Fonds. And when we translate 'Fonds' into English we get 'funds', which again means possessions. Fonds also means stock in the stockmarket business.
