In einem Schulungstext (Verkauf, Luxus-Kosmetikbranche) taucht der Ausdruck in folgenden Zusammenhängen auf:

Aspirers [als spezifischer Kunden-Typ]:
- will value the aspirational badge of exclusive brands

Price in the case of an aspirational good
[Punkt in einer Liste; nicht mehr Kontext]

Gemeint ist wohl, dass eine Marke/Produkt mit Prestige verbunden sind und man sich über den Kauf profilieren kann. In der Marketing-Sprache gibt es offenbar den Ausdruck "aspirational group" :-), auch im Deutschen, aber ich hätte doch lieber eine etwas deutschere Entsprechung ... Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen? Vielen Dank zum voraus!

..wobei "aspirational good" m.E. auch mit "Luxusartikel" übersetzt werden könnte

Und von hier aus weitergedacht ließen sich weitere Wortkombinationen mit "Aspirations..." finden. Bei Google ist die Ausbeute allerdings mager.
