Here's a snippet from a marketing document:
"At Big Bad Wolf USA, we combine our expertise in manufacturing and our knowledge of piggies to become your BEST VALUE SUPPLIER."
I've been chewing over the "best value supplier" all morning (hence not terribly long) but I don't seem to be able to come up with a snappy translation -- or with a decent translation at all.
Danke für die vielen Beiträge - so restlos glücklich war ich eigentlich mit keinem: irgendwie musste der Wert ja da hinein. "Preisgünstig" konnte es nicht sein, sonst hätte es im Englischen "best price supplier" geheißen. Also kommt das mit dem Mehrwert oder mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis noch am ehesten hin. In einer stillen Stunde wird uns sicher noch etwas Gescheites und vor allem Knackiges einfallen. Danke! 2 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
For the avoidance of doubt (and of possible legal consequences): The real name of the company is NOT "Big Bad Wolf". I used this name to protect the identity of the enterprise, and in lieu of the standard "ABC" or "XXX" Co.

Explanation: Ist zwar etwas weit weg, trifft es aber denke ich ganz gut.
Natürlich könnte man auch schreiben, der Lieferant mit dem besten PReis-Leistungsverhältnis, aber das ist zäh und zu lang.
Warum also nicht komplett weggehen und mit Lieblingslieferant o.s.ä. übersetzen, das beinhaltet ja auch, daß er am zuverlässigsten und günstigsten ist mit guter Qualität, sonst wär es ja nicht der Lieblingslieferant.

Explanation: ich denke, der Böse Wolf legt Wert auf den best value und will nicht nur everybody's darling sein.
In Deutschland gibt es auch eine kleine Handelskette "Zum bösen Wolf", was der wohl im Handel verloren hat?
