English term or phrase: "read rotated statements" vs. "rotate statements"
Instruction for interviewer (marketing survey).

This is the context:

1. I'd like you to tell me how important each of the following statements are to you (very important, somewhat importantant etc.)

*READ ROTATED STATEMENTS*

1. Blah blah blah
2. Blah blah blah...
etc.

The same survey also has a parts that read:

1. I'd like you to tell me how important each of the following statements are to you (very important, somewhat importantant etc.)

*ROTATE STATEMENTS*

1. Blah blah blah
2. Blah blah blah...
etc.

Here's the problem:

"Rotate statements" = Fragenfolge/Punkte/Aussagen rotieren (d.h. in einer anderen Reihefolge)

"Read rotated statements" = "Rotierten Text lesen" (d.h.

Any ideas? Who's out there on a Sunday??

Danke :-)

Explanation:
I think you're right. The first instance seems to be an unfortunate expression; the second example makes much more sense as a guide for the person asking the questions/statements. :-)
