It is a brochure of a system for glass inspection. |
| | | Abdrücke der Toproller | Explanation:
In einem Text zur Floatglasherstellung, mit dem ich mal zu tun hatte, stand hinter dem Begriff "knurl" in Klammern "top roller".
Daher gehe ich davon aus, dass es sich um ein Synonym handeln könnte.
Die Toproller drücken seitlich auf das flüssige Glas, wodurch die Dicke des Glases reguliert werden kann. Wenn hinterher noch Abdrücke davon zu sehen sind, ist das natürlich unerwünscht.
