Explanation:

Der AT ist sehr ungenau, die Formulierung ist katastrophal. Das muss in der Übersetzung nicht herüberkommen.

Wenn nun behauptet wird, das Feuer breite sich über dieses Material nicht aus (Flammpunkt iregndwo jenseits von 300 Grad - ich habe nachgesehen), kann man umgangssparchlich ruhig sagen, das sei brandhemmend.

Es ist natürlich so lange nicht wirklich brandhemmend, solange kein Abschluss damit gebaut wird. Aber, es brennt eben selbst nicht an und leitet daher das Feuer auch nicht weiter.
