Coulter-Zähler
Gerät zur Bestimmung von Teilchenzahl und Teilchengrösse von elektrisch nicht leitenden Teilchen in einem elektrisch leitenden Dispersionsmedium. Die Teilchen passieren eine dünne auswechselbare Kapillare von 20 bis 400 mm Durchmesser. An zwei gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Kapillaröffnung sind Elektroden angebracht. Gemessen wird der durch die Widerstandsänderung hervorgerufene Spannungs- oder Stromimpuls. Die untere Grenze liegt bei Teilchenradien von etwa 0,2 mm, die obere bei etwa 100 mm.
