English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / Brandschutz | | English term or phrase: intermittent flame test | Anschluss an die Frage nach "flying-brand test deck" (DANK auf diesem Weg schon für die überzeugenden Antworten!); zwei weitere Begriffe tauchen hier in unmittelbarem Zusammenhang auf, die ich nirgends erläutert finde, neben dem o.g. "intermittent flame test" (aus dem Bauch heraus würde ich sagen: Intervallfeuertest, aber ob das der Fachbegriff ist, weiß ich nicht) noch der Begriff "burning-brand test". Ich bin dankbar für jede weitere Hilfestellung.

Es handelt ich um die US-Normen UL 790 / ASTM E 108. Es gibt m.E. keine offizielle Übersetzung dieser Normen bzw. Tests. Es scheint üblih zu sein, die neglischen Begriffe in der dweutschen Sprache zu verwenden. Siehe z.B.:

In diesen Normen heisst der Test eigentlich: "Intermittent Flame Exposure Test"
Wenn unbedingt eine deutsche Übersetzung kreiert werden soll, dann schlage ich vor:
Intermittierende Brennbarkeitsprüfung
Begründung: In deutschen Texten wird auf Brennbarkeitsprüfung gemäss ASTM E 108 hingewiesen. |
