Ich bitte um Hilfe bei der Übersetzung des o.g. Begriffs. Wer sich die Mühe machen möchte, möge den u. a. Link anklicken und sich die Abbildung auf S. 19 (PDF: 23/30) unter Punkt 8, "Burning Brand Test", ansehen.

"The brands to be used in these tests are to be as shown in Figure 8.1 and are to be constructed
as specified in 8.2.2 – 8.2.4. Prior to the test, the brands are to be conditioned in an oven at 40 to 49°C
(105 to 120°F) for at least 24 hours."

Explanation:
Beim Burning-brand Test werden Brandsätze aus Holz entflammt und auf der Oberfläche des Prüflings positioniert.

Hier wird auch der Spread-of-flame Test erklaert, der ja in deinem Katalog gleich danach zu uebersetzen ist:

Der Spread-of-flame Test hingegen sieht eine Gasflamme vor, die durch zusätzliche Windeinwirkung auf die Modulebene einwirkt. Anhand dieses Testaufbaus wird geprüft, ob die Flamme sich durch etwaig brennbare Materialien über die Oberfläche des Moduls ausbreitet.

Dort sind die Dinger, die unter 8.2 "Size and construction of brands" von http://www.dincertco.de/de/news_brandschutz_pv.html?lan=1 abgebildet sind, auch abgebildet und heissen dort "Brand" oder "Krippe" Klasse A, B und C.
