English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / Catalyst in an alkylation process
English term or phrase: assynthesize
Another one, it is about a catalyst used in an alkylation process. Here's the sentence:
As is well known in the art, silicalite, which in the *assynthesized* form is characterixed by orthorhombic symmetry, can be converted to monoclinic symmetry by a calcination procedure...

I can't find a German word for this, at least not with the obvious terms (assynthetisiert etc.). Looking for the English word only results in American sites without an explanation.
I think it might mean that the catalyst silicalite is synthesized into an assymetric form but I've got no proof for that.
Thanks so much for your help.

nach der Synthese
Explanation:
"assynthesized" should read "as-synthesized" and means that it hasn't been modified/changed/processed in any way since synthesis, i.e. 'still as it was on synthesis'

Thanks a lot Cilian, now that you mention it: it was as-synthesized but split over two lines so I wasn't sure
