The use of the ACS:180 cPSA assay at a cutoff of 3.6 ng/mL (3.6 mg/L) should be considered as an appropriate tool for detection of prostate cancer, and when used in conjunction with DRE enhances the detection of prostate cancer compared to the use of DRE alone.
