English to German translations [PRO]

...to write the routine that scales the cube by 1/3 and then "TRANSLATES" it by:
{1 1 0, -1 1 0, -1 -1 0
1 0 1, -1 0 1 etc...}
...it was created with the following "TRANSLATION":
{1 1 0, -1 0 1,...etc}

Ich würde dabei bleiben, denn das Wort 'Übersetzung' assoziiert etwas Sprachliches, hier werden aber nur Daten konvertiert.
In der deutschen Version von Visual J++ finde ich 'Umsetzung', in Visual C++ 'Uebersetzung' (toll, nicht?), in Autodesk Inventor (das wohl am häufigsten genutzte CAD-Programm) steht aber 'Translation'.
Zusammenfassung: 'Übersetzung' wird am häufigsten verwendet, im CAD-Kontext aber 'Translation', die Autodesk-Programme sind aber genau für die Erstellung von 3D-Modellen aus geometrischen Daten und Zeichnungen. Deshalb votiere ich für 'Translation'. |

| Grading comment I had considered leaving "Translation" myself. "Uebersetzung" = refers too much to speech - "Umrechnung"? well, it's not a calculation. Therefore, readers of such a technical document will surely understand "translation"??? Let's hope! :-)
