Ein feststehender, kürzerer Begriff für dieses Verfahren ist mir nicht bekannt, wenngleich ich schon oft derartige Integrale ausgerechnet habe.
Statt "Zylinderschalen" wäre auch "Hohlzylinder (infinitesimaler Dicke)"
denkbar. Die Fläche, die in dem Link etwas flapsig "area of the cylinder" genannt wird (ich musste erst die Formel angucken, um zu begreifen, was gemeint war), heißt "Zylindermantelfläche". |

Die geringe aber hilfreiche Resonanz bestätigt meine eigene Recherche und Gespräche mit einer Mathematikerin, die in ihrer aktuellen Vorlesung u.a. Integrationstechniken behandelt: Es gibt im Deutschen keinen feststehenden Begriff für diese Methode. mpBerlins Vorschlag klingt richtig, über Google finde ich jedoch "Zylinderschalenmethode" (ausser an der Herder-Oberschule) nirgends - gängig ist die Bezeichnung also wohl nicht. Schade eigentlich ;-)
