Im Text geht es um einen Luftverdichter, für den ein neues Design entwickelt wurde:

"Both Medium and Low Pressure Blade Carriers are of same design, and similar problems were found on shroud band. Both Blade Carriers are fitted with loose insert rings.
The insert rings design consist out of *a blade that is casted in position* on the outer band, and an inner ring held in position by peening the blade end over, and locking it. Over the years, cracking around the peened head was found, which was subsequently welded to keep the blade intact, but cracking on the welding was still found on subsequent overhauls of compressors."

Beschrieben wird das alte Design. Ich verstehe den Satz mit der eingesternten Stelle noch nicht so ganz. Gemeint ist also ein Design mit Einsatzringen, und das hat am Außendeckband (outer (shroud) band)... das Eingesternte eben. müsste "a blade" nicht sämtliche Schaufeln betreffen (ebenso am Ende des Satzes)? Und casted in position verstehe ich zunächst mal etwa als "in Position gebracht". Was meint ihr?
