Aus der Hebetechnik:

Mir ist klar, dass "eye bolts" meistens mit "Ringschrauben" übersetzt wird. Ich habe mir jetzt auch schon etliche Internetseiten angeschaut, englische wie deutsche. Dennoch werde ich nicht schlau daraus, was hier mit *shoulder* gemeint ist??????? :-( Hier ein paar Beispielsätze:

Loads should always be applied to lifting eyes in the plane of the eye, not at an angle to this plane. Shoulder lifting eye-bolts are always the preferred eyebolt to use. Shoulder lifting eyes must be properly seated (should bear firmly against the mating part) otherwise the working loads must be reduced substantially. A steel washer or spacer may be required for proper seating.

Explanation:
könnte hier gemeint sein. Der Bund ist in diesem Fall, der etwas weiter gearbeitete Übergang vom Ring zum Gewinde, der für eine größere Auflagefläche sorgt.

Asker: Vielen Dank, Gudrun! Das hat mir schon sehr weitergeholfen, v.a. im letzten Link der Satz "Die Ringschraube muss voll eingedreht sein und vollflächig auf der Auflagefläche aufliegen." Und natürlich die Bilder, für den Unterschied.
