English term or phrase: increased substrate delivery
we have reduced peripheral blood flow, which means an increased substrate delivery, decreased glucose uptake.
what does substrate refer to? could it be stoffwechselprodukte? It does not make too much sense to me to have increased substrate delivery and reduced glucose uptake if substrate meant oxygen and nutrients (because that would have to be reduced as well wouldn't it?)

erhöhte Substratzuführung

Explanation:
"Substrate" probably means "Trägersubstrat" - carrier substrate. I am pretty sure of the term above.
I have no medical training, but I would guess that it is possible to have a decreased glucose uptake in this case since presumably the substrate does not get into peripheral blood vessels but remains in the major ones and is delivered to where it is wanted....don't know if this makes sense. Any medical person out there?

...erhöhte Nährstoffzufuhr....

Explanation:
This would even be more appropriate in medical terms regarding glucose uptake and other supply to the periphery
