Medical - Medical: Cardiology / ventricular assist device / Blutpumpe | | English term or phrase: LVAD flow may be off | Hallo, meine letzte Frage zu einem Abschnitt der Bedienungsanleitung des Steuerungsgeräts einer extrakorporalen Blutpumpe. In dem Teil geht es darum, dass die Pumpe während z. B. einer Defibrillation besser ausgestellt werden sollte. Und dann heißt es weiter:
"If cardioversion is attempted without discontinuing support consideration should be given to reducing the RPM of the Pump (or Pumps for BVAD support) to reduce the likelihood of Right-Left imbalance and Pump inlet obstruction This is essential if an LVAD is in use and the LVAD flow may be off or reduced during cardioversion."
Jetzt geht es um den letzten Satz. Was ist da gemeint?
Dass eine Drehzahlreduktion bei einem LVAD unabdingbar ist, weil der Fluss während der Kardioversion gestoppt oder verlangsamt sein kann? Oder dass man bei einem LVAD-System während der Kardioversion den Fluss verringern oder stoppen kann?

...würde ich sagen: die BVAD-Drehzahl sollte unbedingt reduziert werden, weil der LVAD-Fluss bei der Kardioversion möglicherweise *sistiert oder reduziert ist* - sonst kommt es zum Strömungsungleichgewicht zwischen Lungen- und Körperkreislauf. |
