Medical - Medical: Cardiology / Pharmaceuticals | | English term or phrase: High On-Treatment Platelet Reactivity | In the Journal of American College of Cardiology a paper titled "Consensus and Future Directions on the Definition of High On-Treatment Platelet Reactivity to Adenosine Diphosphate" has been published, authored by members of the the Working Group on High On-Treatment Platelet Reactivity*.
In this white paper all studies to date, consistently linking high on treatment platelet reactivity (HPR) to post-PCI adverse clinical events have been included. Methods deployed in these studies were light transmission aggregometry (LTA), VASP-PRI, Verifynow, Plateletworks or Multiplate. Shear induced platelet aggregation methods were not included (e.g. PFA-100), because of their association with "inconsistent estimates of platelet reactivity to ADP". |
