The exclusive Tactile Tone grip is one of the major improvements in dental instrumentation during the last century. Made of pressure-sensitive medical grade silicone the handle has three unique features: control, comfort and color.
The ergonomically designed handle is soft to the touch, yet provides a very stable grip to the gloved and ungloved hands. Small contours in the silicone grip conform to the fingertip shape, producing exceptional tactile sensitivity and control.
Clinical experience has shown the Tactile Tone grip actually reduces hand fatigue. The cushioned Thompson handle places less pressure on the hand than traditional instruments, thereby reducing the symptoms of arthritis, chronic hand fatigue, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
The permanently color-coded instruments allow for immediate recognition between procedures. Twelve colors combination have been standardized to identify the instruments. Tactile tone grips are guaranteed to maintain their color and comfort throughout the life of the instrument. Thompson instruments may be autoclaved, chemiclaved, ultrasonically cleaned, and sterilized by cold or dry heat methods.
