Es geht um die Herstellung einer Teilprothese im Unterkiefer, bei der eine Registrierbasis aus lichthärtendem Kunststoff verwendet wird. Da ich nicht unbedingt im Besonderen auf Zahnmedizin spezialisiert bin, brauche ich ein wenig Hilfe, denn ich habe beim besten Willen keine Assoziation mit "box rim" und ich finde nichts unter "box" und "palate" oder "denture" etc...

so wie ich das verstehe, ist die Nachbildung des Zahntaschenrandes gemeint.
Also der Teil des Zahnfleisches, der den oberen Rand (rim) um den Zahnersatz herum (nach)bildet. Auf dem Bild (Fig. 2) sieht man was fehlt, bzw. was - durch die gelbe Masse dargestellt - rekonstruiert werden muss.
