Es geht um eine Auflistung bestimmter Bohrer in einem Zahnarzt-Kit.

Der Bohrer steht einmal in der Auflistung:

D. Diamond extra-fine smoothing bur
etc.

und einmal im Text:

Gibt es einen feststehenden hierfür im Deutschen oder wurde der Bohrer einfach so benannt, um seine Form zu beschreiben? (***doughnut*** ist mir auch ein Rätsel).

in manchen Katalogen wird "Football" einfach übernommen; manchmal heißen diese Bohrer "Football/Egg", manchmal wird auch differenziert zwischen "Football" und "Egg"; "diamantiert" heißen diese Bohrer auch:

oder natürlich auch Football-Diamantbohrer/Eiform-Diamantbohrer/eiförmiger Diamantbohrer; am einfachsten ist es wohl, "Football" zu lassen und die Eiform ebenfalls zu erwähnen - sonst denkt man an die deutsche (runde) Form eines Fußbals
