Bei Uebersetzungen fuer die medizinische Marktforschung wird diese Frage, die nur auf den amerikanischen Markt abzielt, nicht uebersetzt. Stattdessen wird ein Kommentar ('not applicable for Germany;) eingefuegt. Bei der Programmierung (z.B. bei Online-Frageboegen) wird dann diese Frage nur bei amerikanischen Teilnehmern eingeschaltet.

So lassen, da es sich nicht auf Deutschland bezieht. In Deutschland gibt es keine wirkliche Entsprechung hierfür, und die Ärzte in den USA würden eine herbeigezogene Übersetzung des Begriffs eher nicht verstehen.

Für die geänderte Zielgruppe würde ich dann eher zu "abgeschlossene Facharztausbildung" tendieren, also zu Gerhards Antwort, falls die Frage denn überhaupt für Deutschland zutreffen sollte. Meiner Erfahrung zufolge wird diese Frage jedoch in den deutschen Fragebögen meistens als "nur USA" markiert und nicht übersetzt, weil die deutsche Facharztausbildung keine genaue Entsprechung der "board certification" ist. Bleibt abzuwarten, was der Kunde dazu meint....
