Explanation:
Zugegebermaßen sperrig, aber die Hervorhebung des pflegerischen Aspekts scheint hier von Bedeutung zu sein.
Kernpunkt dürfte sein, dass in den USA und Kanada Krankenpflegern mehr ärztliche Kompetenzen zugeschrieben werden, somit ist ihre Rolle bei der Diabetesberatung auch ein andere als die des beispielsweise auf Ernährungsfragen spezialisierten Diabetesberaters.

Im zweiten Link wird unter dem Titel: Waht is a nurse educator? eine Ausbildung zum Dozenten für Krankenschwesternausbildung beschrieben.
Anscheinend kann das einerseits eine Höherqualitfikation für Krankenschwestern sein (Ausbildungskrankenschwester mit Schwerpunkt Diabetes), andererseits auch ein Dozent an einem College/ einer Uni.
