Patient is positioned such that the *body coil landmarks* are outside of vertebrae C1 (cervical) through T12 (thoracic).

Der Patient muss so gelagert werden, dass sich die *** außerhalb des Rückenmarkbereichs C1–Th12 (1. Halswirbel bis 12. Brustwirbel) befinden.

body coil = Körperspule
landmark = Orientierungsmarke

würde ich sagen; siehe auch hier:

difference was maximal when the landmark of the transmit/receive
body coil
was placed over the implanted electrode contacts
(landmark = 76.5 cm) and decreased rapidly as the landmark was
moved caudally along the phantom (Figure 2).

für die "landmarks" scheint auch "Landmarken" in diesem Zusammenhang gebräuchlich zu sein.

Danke, Veronika - alles Übungssache ;-). Ich finde die Orientierungsmarken oder -markierungen besser als die Landmarken (die Landmarken passen IMO eher zu anatomischen Punkten).
