Auch dieser Begriff stammt aus der OP-Technik mit verschiedenen Verplattungstechniken von Ellbogenfrakturen...

Hier taucht immer wieder der Begriff "coronoid" auf, z. Bsp.: "It should be noted that while elevating the musculature from the ulna, care should be taken to identify any major branches of the ulnar nerve and protect them during exposure of the CORONOID."

Im Deutschen finde ich zwar ein paar Hinweise auf die Verwendung von "das Coronoid", aber hierbei handelt es sich um viele Referenzen aus dem tiermedizinischen Bereich...

Nach der Anatomie und der OP-Abfolge würde ich davon ausgehen, dass es sich um den "Processus coronoideus" handelt, aber an ein paar Stellen ist eben auch von "coronoid process" die Rede, daher bin ich etwas verwirrt und benötige etwas Aufklärung ;-)

...ich denke schon, dass der Fortsatz damit gemeint ist.
Dieser wird wohl während der OP freigelegt, und währenddessen soll der Operateur darauf achten, die Nerven zu identifizieren und nicht zu schädigen.

Vom Original her hat der Autor wohl nicht konistent einen Begriff verwendet, sondern variiert.

Ich wüsste nicht, welche Struktur am Unterarm noch so heißen könnte.
Vermutlich wird in deinem Dokument beides synonym verwendet
