luftfrei gefüllt

Explanation:
A syringe or IV-tubing needs to be fully primed with IV fluids (or medication, in case of a syringe), meaning it has to be free of air, prior to being connected to the patient to avoid the risk of an air embolus.

Example sentence(s):
  • Infusionssystem anschließen und luftfrei füllen - vorhandene Luftblasen entfernen,

voll angesaugt

Explanation:
If "to prime" would mean eliminating the whole air from a syringe, then would the sentence "Tap while priming to purge
all air" make sense? In my opinion, this is about filling a syringe with liquid, because you tap a syringe that you fill with a liquid in order to eliminate the air inside.

Of course, there are also other ways of translating this phrase, i.e. "aufgefüllt, voll gefüllt" etc.
