Explanation:
Laut Definition dieser Webseite bewegt der Patient den Rollstuhl durch die eigene Bewegung seiner Füße. Dass würde einen Hemiplegiker ausschließen. Von Rheumatikern kenne ich den Ausdruck "Trippelrollstuhl". Vielleicht passt das hier.

-Wheelchair with Adjustable Height, Detachable Arms
The wheelchair has a lower seat than the standard wheelchair to allow the patient to propel with the foot. It is used by patients who cannot propel a standard height wheelchair. Adjustable arm height requires an arm height that is different than that available using nonadjustable arms and the patient spends at least 2 hours per day in the wheelchair. Detachable arms allow a patient to transfer from-or-to the wheelchair while in the sitting position.

Medicare - Capped rental. Coverage requires the following criteria:
Patient needs a wheelchair for mobility in the home.
The hemi feature is covered when the patient meets these criteria:
Patient must be unable to propel a standard wheelchair with feet on ground.
Patient must be able to self propel, using feet in a lower seat height (hemi)wheelchair.
NOTE: Additional information is required for coverage of the adjustable height arm feature:
Patient must be in the wheelchair at least two hours per day.
Patient must have a need for an arm height different from fixed height arms.

Bei dem Trippelrollstuhl TRG vario wird die Fahr- und Lenkbewegung durch kombinierten Einsatz von Fuß- und Armkräften erreicht. Der TRG vario kann mit einer Toiletteneinrichtung ausgestattet werden. Der Rollstuhl ist im Sonderbau mit einer geringeren Sitztiefe erhältlich.

neutral  Ansgar Knirim: Verstehe nicht, warum die Möglichkeit des Trippelns Hemiplegiker ausschließen soll. Diese sollen doch gerade ihren aktiven Fuß benutzen. Und wofür sollte das Hemi sonst stehen?

  -> Hallo Ansgar, ein Denkfehler meinerseits. Hemiplegiker sind ja halbseitig gelähmt und nicht querschnittsgelähmt. Der Rollstuhl ist evtl. auch für z.B einseitig Amputierte geeignet.
