Aus einem Diagramm zum Vergleich von Filgrastim/Placebo. Das Diagramm zeigt zwei Kurven, die beide bei "severe neutropenia" einen Tiefpunkt erreichen. G-CSF steht für Granulozytenkolonie-stimulierender Faktor. Ich denke ANC steht für "Absolute Neutrophile Count"?

Meine Frage: lässt man das im deutschen mit dieser Abkürzung stehen oder gibt es ein Äquivalent? Ausserdem erscheint mir "median" - "durchschnittliche/mittlere" Anzahl und "absolut"
etwas widersprüchlich zu sein. Oder irre ich mich da?

Explanation:
Die "ANC" ist in der englischen Version wohl genauso gängig wie die eingedeutschte "ANZ".
"Absolute" und "median" widerspricht sich gar nicht: "absolute" bezieht sich darauf, dass die Neutrophilenzahl in diesem Fall nicht, wie in Laborberichten oft üblich, relativ (in % der Gesamtleukozyten)angegeben wird, sondern absolut (als x Zellen/µl). "Median" bezieht sich auf den Median (eine spezielle Art von Mittelwert) dieser gemessenen Absolutwerte.

Bei Gesunden beträgt die absolute Anzahl neutrophiler Granulozyten («Absolute Neutrophil Count», ANC) im Blut durchschnittlich 1,5x109/L.
