Bei vielen (oder fast allen?) Therapiestudien (Interventionsstudien) gibt es neben der Gruppe von Patienten, die eine Therapie bekommt, eine Kontrollgruppe, die Placebo bekommt.

Beim Crossover-Design tauschen diese Gruppen nach einer Weile ihre Rollen, d.h. Therapiegruppe bekommt jetzt Placebo und Placebogruppe bekommt Therapie.

agree  Dietrich Herrmann, MD, PhD, MBA: Hier war das nicht ganz so: E gab keine Placebogruppe, sondern 2 Gruppen mit biventrikulären Schrittmachern. Das Prinzip ist aber das gleiche.
