This is definitely not a religious question ;-))

‘bleeding stigmata’ or ‘stigmata of bleeding’ is used in a presentation of a gastroenterological congress in a context of bleeding peptic ulcers.
I think it is important to know that the lecturer is a young Chinese physician from Hong Kong...:

‘...that the pre-emptive use of high-dose intravenous PPI before endoscopy would stabilize clot, would hasten resolution of bleeding stigmata...’

‘...the prevalence of stigmata of bleeding...’ (as a secondary study parameter).

Any idea is welcome – but please try to give a reference, if possible.

Ich bin der Meinung dass es sich bei den Blutungstigmata um eine schlechte Übersetzung handelt. mein Vorschlag wäre:

Forrest I: aktive Blutung
spritzende arterielle Blutung
sickernde Blutung
Forrest II: inaktive Blutung
Läsion mit Gefäßstumpf
