English to German translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) | | English term or phrase: Disability/legal orthopaedic | This is part of a list of specialty areas of orthopaedic surgeons (in a medical survey):
Adult Hip

Is there a fixed term for this expression? I have found it on several webpages of surgeons in the US, but it does not seem to translate directly into German. Any ideas?

Ich denke am ehesten an die entsprechende Gutachtertätigkeit in der Nachbetreuung von Patienten, die z.B. wegen der Schädigung eine Rente beziehen oder weiter beziehen wollen ;-) (kommen dann so etwa 1-mal pro Jahr zur Nachuntersuchung wieder)
In Deutschland wird das auch von Chirurgen (die sog. "D-Ärzte", Durchgangsärzte zur Begutachtung von Arbeits-/Wegeunfällen) gemacht. Aktuell ist das sicher weiter im Fluss, da mittlerweile "Orthopädie + Unfallchirurgie" - siehe "orthopedic surgeon" - als Facharztausbildung zusammengefasst sind. Irgendwann gibt es dann ausschl. "Ärzte für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie".
