English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Metallurgy / Casting | | English term or phrase: Satzverständnis | Es geht um die Vorbehandlung von Gusseisen mit Vermiculargraphit (im Engl. CGI):
"Preconditioning of CGI may be useful to control base oxygen and make reproducible conditions for nucleation and growth of graphite. ******Preconditioning needs to introduce some low stability source of oxygen, preferentially to the saturation level of the iron*****. Addition of approximately 0.1-0.2 wt% of the speciality oxygen containing inoculant XXX is found to be useful for preconditioning of CGI."
Ich verstehe nicht, was hier mit "some low stability source of oxygen" (eine Sauerstoffquelle geringer Stabilität???) und mit "preferentially to the saturation level of the iron" gemeint sein könnte.
Kann mir jemand helfen??

Erklärungsversuch, so wie ich es verstehe:
Die Sauerstoffquelle soll insofern "low stable" sein, damit daraus problemlos Sauerstoffatome zur Absättigung des Eisens freigesetzt / abgespalten werden können. (Fachbegriffe können sicher noch verbessert werden ...)
Wenn Eisen mit Sauerstoff reagieren soll, muss man eine bestimmte Menge Sauerstoff einkalkulieren, die man - je nach Bindigkeit von Eisen in dieser Reaktion, 2- oder 3-bindig - einbringen muss. Im nächsten Satz steht dann, wie viel Gew.% Sauerstoff anzunehmen ist.
Hat das weitergeholfen?? :-)
