"Figure 6 shows the graphite structure in 10 and 20 mm section sizes of a casting treated with 0.35 wt% XXX and then covered with 0.3 wt% YYY. Further, the casting is post-inoculated adding 0.25 wt% YYY at transfer to the pouring ladle. The microstructure shows relatively good CGI with around 30% nodularity in both the thin and the thick sections. Figure 7 shows the graphite structure in a similar casting where additionally a 0.1 wt% pretreatment with ZZZ inoculant is made. The graphite structure is more uniform in this case, with ***refined compacts*** and nodularity only around 20%. The pretreatment seems to have a beneficial effect on the structure refinement and homogeneity, avoiding formation of irregular shaped graphite and long compacted flakes, especially in the thicker 20 mm section size."
Sind damit einfach verfeinerte Formteile gemeint?? Wenn ja, wie kann man dann das "Compacted flakes" im Satz am besten ausdrücken??

Dies ist allerdings sehr speziell, da gibt es sicherlich noch einen passenderen Ausdruck. In keinem Fall hat dies etwas zu tun mit Formteilen. Es geht um die Mikrostruktur, um die Beschaffenheit des Materials und diese wurde verfeinert, es gibt kugelige Anteile nur noch um 20%, keine unregelmäßig geformten Graphite mehr etc. ... |
