Tech/Engineering - Metallurgy / Casting | | English term or phrase: EAF (abbreviation) | Steel production splits into xx % BOF and xx% EAF. For BOF I found = basic oxygene furnace (Sauerstoff-Aufblas-Konverter).
Any idea what an EAF (.. furnace) could be?
Context doesn't give any clue, it's not about the production itself. Explanation in English would be enough. |
