Mir fällt leider keine gute Übersetzung für "single-site" ein.

"aluminum smelter complex" würde ich mit Aluminiumwerk übersetzen.

ich würde übrigens Aluminiumwerk (kann auch walzen usw. ohne unbedingt zu schmelzen, umfaßt womöglich auch eine Hütte) und Aluminiumschmelzanlage unterscheiden

Explanation:
Mit aluminum smelter wäre ich insofern vorsichtig, als es sich bei diesem Metall ja auch um ein Umschmelzwerk handeln kann. "Schmelzbetrieb" bleibt da noch halbwegs neutral.
Hütte hingegen zielt auf die Primärschmelzanlage ab.

Katrin, dein "Einzeln-" bekommst du wohl anhand der verschiedenen Vorschläge auch irgendwie untergebracht, das wird die kleinere Schwierigkeit sein.
