English to German translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Music | | English term or phrase: practice chops | Hi there,
There is not much context, but from how I understand it, this is related to practising musical skills .. just not sure if that is in general or specific to an instrument:
"The instruments are kept in this room, so you can practice your chops whenever you’d like."
I have found references to drums, but I am not convinced ...
Anyone who knows this expression?
Many thanks for your help |

according to Wikipedia "Chops" refers to "the basic set of musical skills a musician possesses, particularly in jazz"
Hope this helps. :) |
