|English term or phrase: take a roll call|
|From a brochure advertising the advantages of a conference call system. |
"Dial in or out. Take a roll call."
Thanks for any suggestions.
As you know, roll call = Namensaufruf, namentliche Abstimmung (context: politics), or Anwesenheitsappell (context: military), none of which seem to fit too terribly well into this context.
I found only one German website that might be of use:
Roll-Call - Der Operator stellt die Teilnehmer bei Konferenzbeginn vor.
Not much help I'm afraid, but it's the best I can come up with. All the usual sources offer nothing at all.

'Aufruf" sounds a little too much like school room language, 'Appell' too military.
How about "Anwesenheit (der Teilnehmer) feststellen". It obviously needs to be a verbal check, as the participants can't see each other.
