It´s just a job title: avalanche technician, Alaska D.O.T

No other context.
Is it Lawinenexperte/Lawinenfachmann?? Or is it really Lawinentechniker, but I haven´t found this job title in German.

Explanation:
Wir haben mE in den Alpen keine akademische Ausbildung als "Lawinentechniker". Die Experten kommenn meist aus den Bergführerkreisen. Daher auch die fehlende Präsenz im Internet.
Ausserdem wohl eher ein Teilzeitberuf ;0)

@snowinsummer (my dream as downhill skier!) Maybe, in Europe it is just split up between several institutions and there is no academic course
