English to German translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: people from non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB)
This term is widespread in Australian, especially when it comes to Government jargon. However, I am having trouble thinking of the German equivalent. Can anybody think of an alternative to the rather clumsy literal translation (i.e. Person mit nicht-englischsprachigem Hintergrund oder mit nicht-Englischem Sprachhintergrund)?
Looking forward to your suggestions,
