English term or phrase: landshark
As I mentioned before:
a small dark or black shark that swims close to land around the Fijis/South Seas.
It has nothing to do with a person etc. I thought of using "Ammenhai"?

I'm afraid I haven't found the answer to your question, but I found a website that you might find helpful, especially if you could find out the Latin name for the shark:

http://www.gifte.de/haie.htm

Ammenhai came up as nurse shark or, in the case of Australia, wobbegong or spotted wobbegong, so I'm not sure if this would be the right translation. The word Landhai also exists in German, but seems to be either a person recruiting seamen, or a legendary animal.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful.
