'Fachvermittlung für Seeleute (Heuerstellen)' www.svz.de/archiv/magmv/2000/23.Dezember/aus.html: 'Es entstanden Seemannsheime, zum Teil mit Heuerstellen, ...' www.heuerbüro.de/firmenpr.htm: 'Wir sind ein junges Unternehmen, das sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, an die alten Heuerstellen anzuknüpfen.' In this translation the 'hall' is getting lost but I'm sure this is the right term. When I was 20, 30 years ago and lived in Hamburg I found some of my weekend entertainment by going to the harbour at 6am to listen to the bidding for jobs at the 'Heuerstelle'. outdoors.
