"Three of a kind" means actually "drei von derselben Sorte". Of course, you cannot use this straight translation. Look for hints, if they have the same taste ("drei mit demselben Geschmack") or where else the common point is. How is about something different, like "drei Modeschwestern" oder "drei Seelenverwandte"?

If you've got the picture you can decide if these three women look very much alike (if they are "vom gleichen Typ") - they might all be blond, with similar hairdo, clothes, similar body shape etc.
