klar Explanation: In this case, definitely use "klar", auf keinen Fall "frei". "Klar" refers to a vision in a sense, seeing life clearly before one's eyes, while "free" would be more a feeling in this meaning. I hope this helps! |

einfach / unkompliziert Explanation: My feeling says that in German, life cannot be clear (and in english too). The things of life can be clear. My view of life is clear. So if you want to leave the sentence as is, thzn I would use "einfach" or "unkompliziert", i.e. simple (which is vaguely synonymous with clear). If you prefer to use "clear" (which I would too, because its simple) then the sentence should maybe be adapted a little bit to read " ..., daß die Dinge des Lebens ganz klar für mich sind ..." HTH |
