Wenn Rolfs Referenz richtig ist ;-), dürfte der gesuchte Begriff Schmalbahn heißen.

DIN 16544: Die Laufrichtung von Schmalbahn-Papieren läuft parallel zur langen Seite. Der Papierbogen liegt schmal in der Papierbahn. Die lange Kante liegt längs der gerichteten Papierfaser.
