Liebe Freunde auf dem Papier,

ich finde alle mögliche für air knife coating, laut Ernst Luftbürsten-Streichverfahren, laut Langenscheidt Luftrakelverfahren und Luftmesserstreichverfahren.
Mein Favorit ist Luftrakel, aber der "head", natürlich nicht Streichkopf, manchmal spricht man von Auftragswerk,
ist das der ganze Mechanismus oder der "coating head"

The new machine is a “tandem” coater, with two air knife coating heads that can either coat two sides in one pass, or apply two coats on one side in the same pass.

I couldn't find the two together, but after looking at links with "Beschichtungskopf", I think that this is an acceptable translation. :-)
