In Deutschland ist kein Wirkstoff zugelassen, der die sogenannten POP-Kriterien (persistenter organischer Schadstoff) erfüllt.
Unter die sogenannten ***PBT-Kriterien (persistent, bioakkumulativ, toxisch)*** und die ***vPvB-Kriterien (sehr persistent, sehr bioakkumulativ)*** können bis zu sechs Wirkstoffe fallen, wobei möglicherweise auch keiner oder nur einzelne der aufgeführten Wirkstoffe betroffen sind. (Die endgültige Zahl hängt u.a. von der angewandten Prüfmethode der Persistenz im Boden bzw. Sediment ab).
