ich freue mich über Vorschläge für eine idiomatische Übersetzung.
Kontext:
1. The positive side of Regan's argument, with which most of these critics would not agree, is that an "ehtical theory based on rights" does provide adequate grounds for the obligation to be a vegetarian.
2.Certainly he recommends abandoning utilitarianism in favor of a rights-based theory without having made a single point against utilitarianism, except for his argument that utilitarianism does not support vegetarianism.
Meine vorläufige Lösung: "eine mit Rechten operierende ethische Theorie".
Sicher gibt es aber eine gebräuchliche fachsprachliche Wendung.
