English to German translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) / photography | | English term or phrase: consumer film, professional film | From a questionnaire: "Of the film you use, including both consumer and professional film, what percentage is professional film?" No more context.
My guess is that "consumer film" refers to the standard 35mm cartridges which are generally used in "amateur" as well as "professional" cameras, and that "professional film" refers to the bigger formats used by mainly professional (studio)photographers.
If this is correct, how would you translate it?
"Professioneller Film" sounds ok to me but I have a problem with "Konsumentenfilm", which somehow sounds very awkward. What do you think?
