Es handelt sich um ein Bauteil eines Infrarot-Reflektions-Absorptions-Spektroskops, das bei einem Experiment verwendet wurde.
Frei übersetzt wäre das eine "Streiflicht-Reflektionseinheit". Sollte jemand den passenden deutschen Begriff kennen, wäre ich sehr dankbar für einen Tip, ansonsten würde ich das so stehen lassen, wie das bei Fachbegriffen dieser Art ja durchaus üblich ist.
"Grazing incidence" heißt in dem Zusmamenhang jedenfalls "streifender Lichteinfall". Ich erinnere mich noch lebhaft an das Praktikumsexperiment :) Bei Google dürftest du da auch viel zu finden.
