Wie ist die genaue Bedeutung des Satzes nach dem Doppelpunkt? Meine Variante:
Hydrostatischer Druck entsteht durch den Druck des Wassers auf ein eingetauchtes Objekt:
Aufgrund der vorhandenen Atmosphäre über der Wasseroberfläche ist er (der Druck) in einer spezifischen Höhe oder Tiefe in allen Richtungen gleich.

Lässt sich davon abgesehen aber auch ohne Fachwissen lösen: "as with" - wie beim Atmosphärendruck.
